Grammy Award-winning guitarist Lang started playing the guitar at 12, after his father took him to see the Bad Medicine Blues Band, one of the few blues bands in Fargo, N.D. Lang began taking guitar lessons from Ted Larsen, the Bad Medicine Blues Band’s guitar player, and soon after joined the band. After being signed to a record contract, Lang released the critically acclaimed multi-platinum “Lie to Me” Jan. 28, 1997. His next album was the Grammy-nominated “Wander this World,” released in 1998, and the more soulful “Long Time Coming” was released in 2003. Lang also made a cover of Edgar Winter’s “Dying to Live.” His newest album, the gospel-influenced “Turn Around,” won Lang his first Grammy Award.
