Summer has always been probably the worst season for game releases. And this year wasn’t any different. But now Fall has slowly moved in, and fortunately there is more to it than those falling leaves. The game market is starting to blossom. And this week marks not only the rebirth of the game market, but it may well be one of the best of the year in terms of new releases. And Dead Rising 2 (released for PC, PS3, Xbox 360) is arguably the title which stands out the most.
This is also a great week for football fans, as rivals EA and Konami are releasing FIFA 11 and PES 2011 (only for the EU at the moment), respectively. If youțre into partying, you’ll be delighted to hear Nintendo is releasing Wii Party. Guitar Hero will also have another title enter the series: Warriors of Rock. Front Mission will also have a third-person shooter in the series, along with the release of Front Mission Evolved.
Dead Rising 2, Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock and FIFA 11 to delight gamers this week

And there are dozens of other new titles that will hit the market these days. Chuck E Cheese’s Gameroom and Playhouse, I Love Puppies, Cradle of Athena, Fifa 11 and MySims Sky Heroes, among others, will all be released for the Nintendo DS.
Battle vs Chess, Capcom’s Dead Rising 2, Final Fantasy XIV (Standard Edition), the above-mentioned Front Mission Evolved, Tropico 3 : Gold Edition, Jekyll & Hyde and The Guild 2 : Renaissance will arrive for PC this week.
Some of the games available for Xbox 360 starting this week are Dead Rising, FIFA Soccer 11, Front Mission Evolved, Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock, MySims Sky Heroes, Rapala Pro Bass Fishing and Quantum Theory.
If you’re playing on PlayStation 2 or PSP, you’ll be able to buy FIFA 11 and Rapala Pro Bass Fishing this week. PS 3 users will be even happier, with titles such as Dead Rising 2, FIFA 11, Front Mission Evolved, Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock and Quantum Theory and MySims Sky Heroes being launched for them.
Wii players will also get Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock, Rapala Pro Bass Fishing and MySims Sky Heroes, as well as Sid Meier’s Pirates!, Honda Fever and the earlier-mentioned Wii Party.
Let’s hope that as we approach Christmas, game companies will delight us with even more games!
